Wizard of Oz Set of Three Acetate Recordings. Recorded at MGM studios in 1938, these three acetates feature a number of some and vocal effect tests for the movie. The first acetate features six takes of Judy Garland and Ray Bolger singing "Off to See the Wizard"; the second features three different takes of Munchkin dialogue recorded at different speeds to get the proper "sound" for the characters; and the third acetate features four takes of Billie Burke singing "The Good Witch Song" in part on Side One, with five takes of Garland and Munchkin character dialogue on Side Two. The recordings are in Fine to Very Fine condition with some surface noise throughout. Fascinating artifacts from an American cinema classic.
