The movie's groundbreaking special effects, charismatic performance by Christopher Reeve, and iconic score by John Williams established it as a cultural milestone, pioneering the modern superhero genre and influencing countless subsequent films and media.This 1979 factory sealed VHS copy is a true holy grail from the dawn of home video. Currently there is only one other factory sealed VHS book box copy of Superman: The Movie that is known to exist and this is the first time a copy has been offered on the open market. The earliest book box copies of this film were released as WCI Home Video before transitioning to Warner Home Video. This is currently the only known factory sealed WCI Home Video VHS variant still in existence today! This copy has received a grade of 9.0 by CGC Home Video, with a Seal grade of A.
