Description

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Tauntaun Head Casting. A detailed white plaster casting of the head and neck of a tauntaun, the 8' bipeds used as steeds by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) on the ice planet Hoth in the 1980 Academy Award-winning sequel. The head measures 20" x 15.5" x 27"; the snout measures 9" x 6.5"; the neck is 16" in diameter and 28" long. Note that the casting does not feature the long, curved horns seen on the animals in the movie. The casting is believed to have been used for either making the head appliance or for storing them, and is in overall Very Fine condition. Requires third party shipping.
