But his first film, Sixteen Candles, was actually released in 1984. The film stars Molly Ringwald, whose "sweet" sixteenth birthday becomes anything but special, as she suffers from every embarrassment possible. Also appearing in the film is another frequent John Hughes collaborator, Anthony Michael Hall, playing none other than geek, Ted.This 1984 copy of Sixteen Candles has later MCA Home Video watermarks on the spine and has received an overall grade of 85 NM+ by VGA, with matching Box and Seal grades of 85.
