Description

Psycho VHS 1987 - VGA 75 EX+/NM, Clamshell, Flatback Seal, CBS Video Library Release, MCA Home Video. Psycho is a gripping psychological thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film follows Marion Crane, an embezzling secretary on the run who checks into the secluded Bates Motel, owned by the disturbed Norman Bates. With its iconic shower scene and shocking twist, Psycho revolutionized the horror genre, challenging traditional storytelling and pushing boundaries with its graphic content. The film's success solidified Hitchcock's reputation as the master of suspense, influencing future horror filmmakers and leaving an indelible mark on the genre's evolution.

This rare factory sealed MCA Home Video copy of Psycho is a bit of an obscure CBS Video book box/clamshell release. There was a previous MCA rainbow release in 1980 and a 1984 MCA Home Video slipcase release, but this is the only factory sealed copy of this release that we've ever seen. It's received an overall grade of 75 EX+/NM by VGA, with a Box subgrade of 75 and a Seal subgrade of 75.
