    Description

Paul Muni as Emile Zola with Patina. The success of Warner Bros.' The Life of Emile Zola (1937) garnered such prestige for the studio that Perc Westmore fashioned this most impressive bust with patina, on stand and bearing the words "Paul Muni Emile Zola." Piece measures 7" wide and 16" tall. Mask (with enhanced eyebrows and hair) has aged over the past 60-plus years -- the name Paul Muni is now almost obscured, and there are "scars" here and there on the face; Fair to Good condition. Nevertheless, these flaws rather add to the piece's museum-life antiquity look. A dramatic curio from one of Golden Age Warner Bros.' finest hours. From the Bud Westmore Collection. Accompanied by an LOA from Jeannie Westmore. Requires third party shipping.
