Marilyn Monroe Personal Nylon Stocking (ca. 1956). Vintage original nude-colored nylon stocking from Marilyn Monroe's personal wardrobe collection. Constructed of sheer nylon with light blue stitching at top hem and stitch-marked "60". This specific stocking was given by Monroe to Marianne Geltner, the English cook who worked for Monroe while she was in London filming The Prince and the Showgirl (Warner Bros., 1957) during the summer of 1956. Exhibits signs of wear and age, including discoloration. Provenance: Christie's, London, Auction 9538, "Film and Entertainment", December 17, 2002, Partial Lot #89. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
