    Description

Lou Costello Life Mask. From 1947 until 1955, Bud Westmore supervised the makeup for the Universal-International Abbott and Costello comedies, starting with The Wistful Widow of Wagon Gap (1947) and ending with Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy (1955), the comedy team's last feature for the studio. This wonderful life mask of Lou Costello (1906-1959), enhanced with hair and eyebrows, commemorates that long and happy association. Mask measures 7.5" wide and 11.5" tall; some chips, particularly on nose and hair; Good condition. Happily, Costello's expression is rather pleasant, as if he's enjoying the life mask application, and the mask nicely captures his comic screen persona. From the Bud Westmore Collection. Accompanied by an LOA from Jeannie Westmore. Requires third party shipping.
