Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (New Line, 2002), "Gollum" Theater Display Figure. Original plaster and resin theater display figure of Gollum, posed in his distinctive crouching position and painted in pale blues, pinks, and whites with detailed features including protruding veins, ridged spine, expressive facial features, large blue resin-crafted eyes, drawn on hair markings, and woven, studio-distressed loincloth. Gollum, memorably played by Andy Serkis, is one of the most beloved and iconic figures of the wildly successful and influential franchise. Markings to the underside of the right foot indicate this display figure was made for the release of The Two Towers and was licensed by New Line Productions, Inc. for promotional use in movie theaters across the globe. Features puncture holes to the undersides of each appendage, allowing for attachment to display base/pedestal. Exhibits expected wear from handling and age, including yellowing to exterior resin film on the eyes. Measures approx. 22.5" x 17.5" x 15". Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
