John Wayne Signed High School Graduation Yearbook (1925). Vintage original black softcover Glendale Union High School yearbook. John Wayne, whose real name was Marion Robert Morrison, graduated from high school in 1925 in Glendale, California. He attended Glendale Union High School (now known as Glendale High School), where he played football, participated in the school's drama program, and was a member of the debate team. "The Duke" is pictured on pages 31, 33, 40, 56, 107, 116, 120 and 165. Wayne went on to make 170 films over his career, becoming one of the most iconic actors in Hollywood history. Some of his most famous films include The Searchers, Stagecoach, Rio Bravo, The Quiet Man, and True Grit (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor). The book has signatures from Wayne's classmates on various pages and signed by Wayne "Marion" on the class officer's page. Autograph is being sold as is without warranty. Yearbook measures approx. 8.75" × 11.25". Exhibiting age, toning, minor soiling, creased cover, and handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
