Jilly Rizzo's Personal Copy of Sinatra and Friends 1977 Television Script. On April 6, 1977, Frank Sinatra's right-hand man, Jilly Rizzo, accompanied Ol' Blue Eyes to NBC Studios in Burbank to begin taping the television special Sinatra and Friends, co-starring Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Loretta Lynn, Robert Merrill, Leslie Uggams, Alan Calm, and John Denver. The following day, they enjoyed a game at Dodger Stadium, where Frank sang the national anthem before returning to NBC to finish taping the show, which NBC aired on April 21. This unique Sinatra and Friends final draft script, dated April 1, 1977, 61 pages, housed in a blue three-ring binder embossed in gold lettering on the front cover, was used on the set by Rizzo throughout the taping. It has no notations, but contents include the full rehearsal and shooting schedules, the complete line-up of numbers performed by Sinatra and company, and all the lyrics to the songs. This script was in the possession of Jilly Rizzo from 1977 until his death in 1992, when it became part of his estate archive. In Very Fine condition with minor age toning on the paper. From the Jilly Rizzo Estate Archive. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from William Rizzo.
