Jilly Rizzo's Personal Copy of Frank, Dean and Sammy: Together Again! 1988 "Rat Pack" Concert Itinerary. During the spring of 1988, Sinatra right-hand man Jilly Rizzo was back on the road with Frank-and, for the first time, on a national tour with Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. for the "Together Again!" concerts, an historic reunion of the legendary Rat Pack. From the start, Dino's heart wasn't in it. His son, Dean Paul, had been killed the previous year, when his Air National Guard jet fighter had crashed into San Gorgonio, the same mountain that had claimed the life of Dolly Sinatra a decade earlier. Martin also hated the huge, impersonal venues booked for the tour, and his depressed state didn't fit into Frank's plans of staying up to party into the wee small hours with his former "Summit" pallies. After only three shows, Dean left the tour in Seattle and was replaced by Liza Minnelli. This unique, spiral-bound Together Again! itinerary-a rare Rat Pack treasure-is marked "Jilly Rizzo" in blue ink on the front cover. Contents include a separate tour calendar; the complete tour dates; Frank, Dean, and Sammy's itinerary; staff list; hotel rooming lists; luggage tag list; musicians' itinerary; and technical crew itinerary. This volume is a one-of-a-kind treasure related to the last gasp of the Rat Pack, and was in the possession of Jilly Rizzo from 1988 until his death in 1992, when it became part of his estate archive. Fine condition with minor wear on the covers. From the Jilly Rizzo Estate Archive. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from William Rizzo.Auction Info
