Cecil B. DeMille Personal Collection of (9) Family Items. Vintage collection of (9) personal items including (1) bronze French commemorative medal (1870-1914) measuring 1.25" in diameter presented in its original plastic box measuring 3" x 3" x .75", (1) Queen Victoria "Peace and Friendship" medal measuring 3" in diameter, (1) Old Dutch Wedding medal made of metal and measuring 2.5" in diameter, (1) Tiffany & Co. small silver cup measuring approx. 2" in diameter and 1" high, (1) square, gold-plated lapis brooch (missing pin) with inscription, "To Constance and Cecil Best Performance for Fifty Years - Hedda" measuring .75" x .75" x .5", (1) glazed half shell with C.B.D. initials painted in interior measuring 6" x 4.5" x 1.5", (1) French ceramic Sacred Land Marker (1914-1918) with inscription, "This marker contains a plot of sacred land in France" measuring 2.25" x 5" x 1.25", (1) tribal stainless steel "letter opener" with carved bird handle and wood sheath measuring 18.25" (with sheath), and (1) tribal wood fork measuring 14.25" x 1.5". The anniversary brooch, which appears to have been a gift to the DeMille's from famous gossip columnist Hedda Hopper, comes in its original Maurice Jewels cardboard box measuring 2.5" x 1.5" x 1". The Sacred Land Marker contains the original signed paperwork and box measuring 5.75" x 2.75" x 1.75". Objects exhibit age and storage wear. Medals exhibit oxidation and tarnishing. The tribal letter opener has a loose blade. The tribal fork has three chipped prongs. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
