Before his death, Boris Karloff owed movie producer Roger Corman three days worth of work, and decided to finish out his contract by appearing in the thriller Targets, written and directed by an up-and-coming Peter Bogdanovich. In it, Karloff plays an aging horror-film star who, while making a personal appearance at a drive-in theater, confronts a psychotic Vietnam veteran turned mass-murdering sniper. It would be one of his final -- and most memorable -- roles, as the iconic actor died less than a year later. This is Karloff's personal copy of the "Release Dialogue Script," dated July 16, 1968. It is not a shooting script but basically a studio-prepared written record of the film, with all dialogue included and all action described. The script is 115 pages long (no annotations) and includes the opening and final credits. Karloff was immensely proud of this film and with good reason. In Excellent condition with very mild wear.
