Barnaby Jones Premiere Show Signed Script. Here's the very first script for Buddy Ebsen's fondly remembered hit series Barnaby Jones, titled "Requiem for a Son," signed in black ink, "My personal script Buddy Ebsen." It's all here -- the killing of Barnaby's son Hal, the mourning of Barnaby's daughter-in-law Betty (played by Lee Meriwether), and Barnaby's mission to find his son's killer. We even become acquainted with Barnaby's milk habit. The script is marked "Final Draft," dated November 15, 1972 and contains many pages of revisions; there's also a second copy of the script, paper-clipped together. Interestingly, the show was originally titled Parrish and the second page of the script notes, "Please change John Parrish to Barnaby Jones wherever it appears." In Excellent condition. From the Buddy Ebsen Estate.
