Description

An Olivia De Havilland Bolero-Style Jacket from "To Each His Own." Paramount, 1946. Made of a mauve-colored rayon with decorative same-colored trim around the shoulder area and cuffs, beige satin lining, inside Paramount label reads "Olivia De Haviland" [sic], beige paper drycleaning tag stapled to inside lining; worn as the actress portrayed "Josephine Norris" in the scene where she speaks with her father about giving her child up for adoption; interestingly, De Havilland won the Academy Award for 'Best Actress in a Leading Role' for her moving portrayal in this weepie. (Please note this piece originally had a white collar with scalloped edges which was later replaced with its current maroon chiffon scarf and satin trim; it is also in somewhat fragile condition due to age.)
