An Elizabeth Taylor Antique Rocking Chair From Her Trailer, Circa 1960s-1970s. A late Victorian nursing rocking chair (smaller than average with no arms), carved walnut, upholstered in celery-green tufted velvet; owned and used by the star in her movie trailer on the set of many films for many years. (Please note there are a number of wood chips throughout and the upholstery has faded from its original emerald green).
    Approximately: 36" x 22" x 18"

From the personal belongings of Michelle Breeze, an actress best remembered for bit roles on the long-running 1950s-1970s CBS Television series, "Gunsmoke." Interestingly, Breeze was also Elizabeth Taylor's stand-in on numerous films and the two were friends for many decades. According to what Breeze told family, this rocking chair was used by Taylor in her custom trailer that traveled around with her to various film sets throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Years later, Taylor sold it and its contents intact when it wasn't needed anymore; years after that sale, the then-owner of the trailer loaned it (and again, its contents) out to the production of "Liz & Dick" [the 2012 Lifetime Television movie starring Lindsay Lohan] so Lohan could "channel" Taylor. When Breeze acted as an advisor on "Liz & Dick," she told the producers how Taylor personally owned this Victorian rocking chair and how it decorated her trailer for years, so after production wrapped, Breeze was gifted the chair. Breeze's family inherited it after her death and they have now consigned it here to this auction.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
