Description

A Steve McQueen Owned Script from "The Magnificent Seven." The Mirisch Company/United Artists, 1960. Handsomely leather-bound by California Bookbinding, with the film's title and "Steve McQueen" gold-stamped on the cover, and "1960" gold-stamped on the spine, no authorship noted; 183 pages; though a facsimile script of the original, this piece was still from McQueen's personal collection, with annotations in an unknown hand on the first page, stating the filming location of Cuernavaca, Mexico; an old-west take on the 1954 samurai masterpiece "Seven Samurai" directed by Akira Kurosawa, "The Magnificent Seven" features a fantastic ensemble cast that includes not only Steve McQueen, but screen heavyweights Yul Brynner, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, and others, and remains to this day one of the most-beloved Westerns of all time, and helped to catapult McQueen into Hollywood superstardom. (Please note there is extremely light wear to the leather cover of the script.)
