A Steve McQueen Owned Script from "Nevada Smith." Embassy Pictures, 1966. Attractively leather-bound by California Bookbinding, with the film's title and "Steve McQueen" gold-stamped on the cover, and "1965" gold-stamped on the spine; no authorship noted; 155 pages, with numerous colored revision pages throughout, and multiple pages with several handwritten annotations, many likely in McQueen's own hand; originally from the personal collection of Steve McQueen, this script has never before been offered for auction; in this western, shot on location in the Eastern Sierra mountains and the Inyo National Forest in California and Nevada, McQueen portrays the titular Nevada Smith, a man out for revenge against outlaws Bill Bowdre, Jesse Coe, and Tom Fitch - played here by Arthur Kennedy, Martin Landau, and Karl Malden, respectively. (Please note several of the scripts pages exhibit moisture damage and/or toning due to age, back cover shows moisture damage and a chip in the leather at the top edge.)
