Of classic design by the Herbert & Meisel Trunk Co. of St. Louis, made of wood, covered in a tan-colored sturdy cloth, leather handle on top, hinges and lock on front side, address label handwritten in black foutain pen ink (likely in Bolger's hand) reading "Ray Bolger / 513 N. Martel Ave. / Los Angeles, 36, California USA," a further "Ray Bolger" painted in the corner of top, a "1" painted on the side, two 'Cunard White Star' stickers noting "Queen Mary," "First Class," and "Departing from Southampton" plus Bolger's name and address again, trunk opens to reveal six drawers on the right side (with the bottom drawer being a hat rack) and a closet and single drawer on the left side; used by the star back when people traveled in style!
