A Marjorie Woodworth Collection of Ephemera, 1930s-1970s. A miscellaneous assortment of items saved by the actress; housed in two banker's boxes, pieces mostly relate to her professional career and include: advertisements (picturing her), newspaper clippings, business correspondence on various 1940s-era studio letterheads [Hal Roach Studios, United Artists Corporation, Monogram Pictures, etc.], black and white snapshots, telegrams, and hundreds of pieces of fan mail (mainly from lovesick soldiers fighting in WWII), among other similar items; also included are a number of pieces related to Woodworth's personal life such as old family photographs, wedding invitations, identity cards from social groups, and the like -- overall, a sentimental yet fascinating collection covering the life of a 20th Century actress.
