A Marilyn Monroe-Received Group of Notes from Her Secretary, 1962. Three total; all typed on half-sheets of paper for MM by her Los Angeles secretary [Cherie Redmond]; the first (on two pages) dated "4/10/62," outlines a number of day-to-day issues that Redmond needed MM to decide on such as delivery of the New York Times, the drapes in her studio dressing room (they didn't "pull together" properly), the flowers in her dressing room ("I know you don't like arrangements, but I can...try to fix them the way you like them" ), her personal phone book ("I made an extra copy for your dressing room"), what to do with incoming calls while MM was on the set, and other like issues; the second dated "4/11/62," relays that Sidney Skolsky called [Hollywood columnist and MM's longtime friend]; and the third, dated "6/1/62" [MM's 36th and last birthday], relays that Inez Melson [MM's business manager], Doc Goddard [MM's faux stepfather/caretaker from her childhood years], Ann, and Emilio Villareal called, probably to wish her a happy birthday -- overall, fascinating little notes filling in the still unknown blanks of MM's life (who knew Marilyn hated floral arrangements?); all with two and four-hole punch marks on the top margins.
