    A "Madame" Puppet, Circa Late 1970s-Early 1980s. Face made of composite material, hand-painted, articulated mouth, hands of same material with added handles for puppet movement, body composed just to waist area (meaning no legs), made of fabric, dressed in a red sparkly nylon dress with red feather trim at cuffs and hem, matching headdress, mink stole wrapped around shoulder area; included with an extra costume of a white negligee (though now in stained and worn condition); originally from the personal collection of Wayland Flowers, the puppeteer who created "Madame;" Flowers had numerous "Madame" puppets, including this one that could have appeared on any number of television shows throughout the late 1970s and 1980s such as "Hollywood Squares," "The Tonight Show," "Solid Gold," or even her own 1982 syndicated show, "Madame's Place." (Please note there is slight paint loss on the puppet's bottom lip and there are a few small holes in her red gown.)
