The first a silverplated pepper mill, engraved on the front center in the star's facsimile handwriting "For Emile & Kron / my love / Katharine," further engraved in block text on the bottom center "Olly Olly Oxen Free / 1976;" the second a black and white photograph of the star on a set, original print, semi-gloss finish, signed in black felt-tip ink in the lower left corner "Emile / with affection / Kate," verso stamped "John / Bryson / Box 96 / Malibu / California;" both items gifted by the star to Emile LaVigne, a longtime Hollywood makeup artist who worked with Hepburn for years.
