Ceramic, gilt handle, front has handpainted image of a ship above text reading "Blood Alley," back reads "John / from / Duke," bottom stamped "Wallace / China / 4-U / Los Angeles, Calif." and "Bob Williams / 222 Occidental / Santa Ana, Calif.;" gifted to the cast and crew by the star as was his custom.
This piece was consigned directly to Heritage Auctions by the son of John Edward Folk, recipient of the mug who was the technical advisor representing the U.S. Coastguard during the production of this film that co-starred Lauren Bacall.
