DescriptionA John Wayne Briefcase, 1970s. Made of tan leather, with a combination lock, monogram embossed in gold on top reads "JW," inside contents are as Wayne left them including: a list handwritten by him in red ballpoint ink of "Location Supplies" [for a trip to England related to "Joe Battle"], a typed copy of similar list, a small group of printed facsimile autograph cards, and some business cards among a few other items.

This briefcase was originally sold in the Heritage Auctions (Los Angeles) auction titled "The Personal Properly of John Wayne," Sale 7045, October 6-7, 2011, Lot 44167, final price realized was $8,962.50; included is the original COA from Ethan Wayne, John Wayne's youngest son.
