A James Dean-Related Set of Playbills, 1952, 1954. The first from the 1952 production of "See the Jaguar," Dean's first leading role on Broadway which lasted all of three days as the play closed almost as soon as it opened; the second from the 1954 production of "The Immoralist" where Dean stayed all of two weeks, quitting the gig due to a disagreement with the producer; Elia Kazan quickly came to Dean's rescue, taking the young actor to Hollywood where we know the rest of the tragic tale; both pieces are stamped on the back cover "Private Collection of Constance Argeris." (Please note both playbills show signs of age-toning, minor staining, creasing, and small rips but are still intact.)
