DescriptionA Harry Houdini Likely Owned Pair of Handcuffs, Circa 1920s. Standard in design, made of iron, one cuff stamped "HM Dartmoor / Hiatt / 314" and the other "Hiatt / 314 / British Made;" included with key stamped "314 / Hiatt."
The current owner bought these handcuffs in the early 1970s from well-known inventor and magic dealer, Joe Berg, who had a shop in Los Angeles. At the time, Berg said they were Houdini's -- a not unlikely claim as Berg's original store in the 1920s was in Chicago [The Princess Magic Shop] where he did do business with magicians of the day including Houdini, Harry Blackstone, and Howard Thurston. Oddly, Berg died shortly after suffering a stoke while walking up the hill to the famous Magic Castle on Franklin Avenue in Hollywood, California.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!View More Testimonials
