    A Harry Blackstone, Jr. 'Book of Spells' Magic Illusion, Circa 1980s. A large wooden box, cover has various "magic" images on it below the word "Spells," box opens to reveal a spring and a secret back panel which also opens, inside label reads "Collectors / Workshop / Crafters of Fine Magic Apparatus;" used by the magician who was the son of the equally famous Harry Blackstone, Sr., a contemporary of Harry Houdini's.

    This piece was originally sold in the Heritage Auctions auction titled "Music & Entertainment Memorabilia," Sale 616, October 8, 2005, Lot 20306, final price realized was $1,912; at that time, it came directly from The Estates of Harry Blackstone, Sr. and Jr.
