DeMille with his black fountain pen ink inscription on the lower right side reading "To Bob Cobb [founder of The Brown Derby] / Gratefully, / Cecil B. deMille;" the third by Zel depicting William Demarest with his black fountain pen ink inscription in the lower left corner reading "To 'Bob' / When better food is served, / the 'Derby' will serve it! / Sincerely, / Wm Demarest;" and the fourth by Zel depicting Tony Martin with his black fountain pen ink signature in the lower right corner reading "Best wishes / Tony Martin;" all originally hung on the walls of one of the famous Brown Derby restaurants in Los Angeles; from The Collection of John Strangi.
