DescriptionA Clifton Webb Enormous Collection of Ephemera, 1910s-1960s. Three banker's boxes filled to the brim with countless paper items saved by the actor and his mother, Mabelle, including: letters, postcards, diaries, journals, newspaper clippings, magazines, Christmas cards, sympathy cards, funeral programs, restaurant menus, theatre programs, partial scripts, fan mail, legal documents, receipts, and other like things ranging in date from the early 1900s until Webb's death in 1966; there are also a number of documents and letters that appear to be from other Estates besides Webb's -- perhaps friends or relatives left their belonging to him or his mother over the years; overall, an oddball collection giving an insight into this grand character actor from Hollywood's Golden Era.
This lot is available to view in person at Heritage's office in Beverly Hills.
