A Bronze Sculpture by Gallagher Rule, 1979. A weighty piece, depicting a bust of Wayne in his heyday, signed on the back " '79 Rule S 1/50," mounted to a wooden base, placard on front reads "John Wayne / by / Gallagher Rule / 1979;" included is a framed newspaper article (showing an image of Wayne standing next to this bust) describing how the artist presented this piece to the actor at his home in Newport Beach on "Sunday, March 25" [1979] plus two letters: one from Rule to Wayne and a file copy of Wayne's response.
