    A Bette Davis Group of Silver and Pewter Decorative Items, Circa 1940s-1950s. Nine items total including: 1) a pewter saucer; 2) a pewter box; 3) a pewter cup; 4) a smaller pewter cup; 5) a sterling silver perpetual calendar, stamped on the bottom "Tiffany & Co. / Makers / Sterling;" 6) a pewter candle snuffer; 7) a sterling silver calling card tray, engraved "MFB," bottom stamped in part "Sterling;" 8) a sterling silver finger bowl, bottom stamped in part "Sterling;" and 9) a silver-plated knife rest adorned with two cherubs; all on display and/or used in various homes where the star lived over the years; included with a signed 'letter of provenance' from Kathryn Sermak, Davis' longtime personal assistant.

    "Miss D loved pewter and used it in various ways. 1) pewter saucer held cream for her coffee and placed on the dinning room table. The pewter box held a few pieces of her jewelry when she took them off. 3) pewter cup held cigarettes 4) smaller pewter cup held the stick matches to use to light the cigarette 8) the sterling silver wine taster was what she put water in and took on the set when making a film. It was used for her eyeliner brush. Back then, it was a cake eyeliner and a fine art brush."
