KRYPTONITE CRYSTAL FROM SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE. KRYPTONITE CRYSTAL FROM SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE. - (Warner Bros., 1978) This is the spectacular screen-used Kryptonite crystal prominently seen in the beginning of Superman: The Movie. In the movie, Jor-El (played by Marlon Brando) plucks the mythical green crystal from a nest of hollow crystals and places it in the infant Kal-El's (baby Superman) pod before jettisoning his son away from danger, into space and ultimately to the safety of Earth. This 9 ½ in. long crystal is cast of clear, emerald-green resin. This iconic piece of Superman lore comes with it's own foam fitted anvil carrying case with attached engraved metal plaque, which reads, "Original Kryptonite Crystal used in Superman".Auction Info
