Joseph L. Mankiewicz manuscript notebook and shooting script for The Quiet American. (Figaro, 1958) Vintage original (1) studio-bound and bradded 156-page screenplay by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, dated October 22, 1956, marked "Temporary Shooting Script" on title page and (1) spiral notebook with 30+ pages of Mankiewicz's handwritten notes, in pen and pencil pertaining to The Quiet American, including which scenes should be shot on location or in the studio, dialogue ideas, scene ideas, and much more. Exhibiting age, production use, light soiling, and handling. In vintage good to very good condition. Provenance: Bonham's New York "TCM Presents... A Celebration of Robert Osborne", June 13th, 2018.
