DescriptionJoan Fontaine "Dona St. Columb" Period Under Dress from Frenchman's Creek and Autographed Photo (Paramount, 1944). Vintage original corseted crème under dress with wide boat neck, rigid nude bodice with interior stays and floral mesh lace overlay, short flounce peasant sleeves, lace ruffles at neck, sleeve, waist, hem, and lace-up back, crème organza underskirt, with hidden hook and eye and snap back closure in skirts, and retaining internal costumers bias label handwritten, "F.C. Joan Fontaine [illegible]" in black ink. Accompanied by (2) single-weight glossy black and white 8 x 6 in. photos, 1-signed, "Joan Fontaine My costume from Frenchman's Creek." And 1-with tipped publicity snipe and Acme Newspaper ink stamp on the verso. Snipe reads in part, "We'll bet you don't see very often many pictures of Joan's shapely gams."
