An Arthur E. Arling Personally-Owned Meter Box, Circa 1930s. A small wooden box, leather handle, top lid painted in white lettering "A. Arling - Meters," bottom with masking tape with handwritten annotation in black wax pencil reading the same; used by the cinematographer when he worked on "Gone With The Wind" as an uncredited camera operator; he later went on to win an Academy Award for 'Best Cinematography, Color' for the 1946 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film, "The Yearling."
