DescriptionIdris Elba "Heimdall" "Hofund" Sword from Thor: The Dark World (Marvel, 2013). Original "Hofund" large prop sword constructed of cast resin and urethane over internal supporting armature. Expertly painted with metallic silver unique blade, ornate gold cross guard and pommel and faux wood grain grip. With sculptural Celtic symbols throughout. Studio distressed and theatrically soiled to appear battleworn and well used. Heimdall's (Elba) signature sword is named Hofund, but is mainly referred to as the Bifrost Sword. The 61" x 11"
sword is visible in the first and second installments in the franchise.
In the movie, the sword would allow Heimdall to open the Bifrost, the bridge between worlds. Exhibiting production use and handling. In Very Good to Fine condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
