Hunger Games Peacekeeper military vehicle (enclosed rear cabin). (2013) Imposing Peacekeeper truck symbolizing the power and authority of the Capitol. This vehicle was built for the production based on a heavy-duty Ford L-8000 single-axle truck frame and drivetrain with diesel engine and manual transmission. The dashboard is retained from the standard truck, but literally everything else was custom fabricated using square steel tube frame construction with aluminum, fiberglass, steel and wood panels to create the armored truck exterior. Although the vehicle is two-wheel drive, the appearance of four-wheel drive is achieved by attaching a simulated fiberglass front differential between the front wheels. Fiberglass caps over the standard Ford truck wheels simulate the military multi-lug wheels. Outer finish of vehicle exhibits studio distressing. Measures approximately 248 in. long x 117 in. wide x 97 in. tall. Mechanicals untested. *
