DescriptionHistory of the World, Part I Matte Painting of Notre-Dame de Paris (TCF, 1981). Matte painting accomplished in mixed media on 64" x 42" wood. Painted by Syd Dutton.
This painting established Paris in the film. It was combined with live-action shot on the studio backlot for a beautiful tilt-down view from the Notre-Dame de Paris to a road below satirically re-named Rue de Merde.
In Very Good Plus condition exhibiting expected production wear, minor scuffing, possible corner bumping and soiling. This lot requires third party shipping from Los Angeles, CA. COA from Heritage Auctions.
