Henry Cavill "Superman" Cape from Man of Steel (Warner Bros., 2013). Original superhero cape constructed of brick red microfiber velvet lined in cherry red Polyester stretch velvet. The approx. 83" long cape features fine pleating at the shoulders forming points that would affix to the iconic bodysuit.
Under an interior flap at the collar is handwritten, "HC WB 9." While there were many versions of the iconic cape made in length and materials, for flying and walking, etc., this longer version was the most popular with production as it allowed for the most movement and interaction with wind. Accompanied by a cast rubber reinforcing form that would be used in conjunction with attachment of cape to bodysuit. In production used Very Fine condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
