Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (TCF, 1977), Pair of X-wing Production Blueprints by ILM. Vintage original pair of blueprints schematics by Industrial Light & Magic depicting the left and right sides of the iconic X-wing starfighter, (1) with text reading, "ENGINES CLOSER TOGETHER" and 2-large arrows showing the proposed change. Both schematics are printed on unframed paper measuring 18" x 12". These schematics, executed by the master designers at ILM, were foundational in the original development and design of the X-wing, one of the most memorable and instantly recognizable spacecrafts piloted by the Rebel Alliance in the first installment of the original trilogy, and help track changes in its development. The design for the X-wing was originally created by Colin Cantwell and later perfected by Ralph McQuarrie and Joe Johnston. Items exhibit signs of age and wear, including toning, wrinkles, and damp staining. Provenance: From the personal collection of a 25-year veteran of the ILM model workshop.
