Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (TCF, 1977), Pair of Death Star Trench and Escape Pod Blueprints by ILM. Vintage original pair of 17.75" x 12.5" blueprint schematics depicting key elements of the original entry into the groundbreaking space opera that would come to be known as Star Wars, including (1) depicting the Death Star surface trench and (1) depicting an Escape Pod. As relics of the ingenious and genre defining work accomplished by George Lucas's Industrial Light & Magic in advance of production on the first of the original trilogy, these blueprints provide a technical and nuanced look at the team's approach to bringing this massive undertaking to life. Escape Pod blueprint is printed "Johnston 9/25/75". Both blueprints are printed on unframed paper exhibiting toning, some wrinkles, mild staining, and edgewear consistent with production materials of this age.
