Rebecca Final Draft Shooting Script by Robert E. Sherwood and Joan Harrison (Selznick Int'l., 1940). Vintage original studio bound and bradded 183-page Final Shooting Script. Front print reads, in part: "Selznick International presents, 'REBECCA' from the novel by Daphne du Maurier, SCREEN PLAY by Robert E. Sherwood and Joan Harrison, Adaption by Philip MacDonald and Michael Hogan." and is dated "September 7, 1939." In the lower right corner are credits for "Produced by: David O. Selznick, Directed by: Alfred Hitchcock." Retaining the studio ink stamp, "0109," in the upper right corner. Rebecca was Alfred Hitchcock's first American feature and his first project under Producer Selznick. The ultimate film was nominated for eleven Oscars and won Best Picture and Best Cinematography. The script exhibits minor age and extremely light handling. Slight edge toning to covers and a breaching to the top hole punch of the back cover. Overall in vintage, Very Good to Fine condition. Presented in a 9.25" x 12" x 1.5" green cloth and board custom clamshell case, with gold gilt embossed text on the cover and spine, including script title, date, and other info. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
