Orson Welles Collection of Hand Drawn Christmas Notecards to Rita Hayworth (1940s). Twenty-one in total, all rendered in watercolor paint or fountain pen ink on various sizes of cream-colored card stock. Most depict images that Welles drew of Christmas trees, wreaths, Santa Claus, hearts, and the like. All have text written by Welles to his then wife, Rita Hayworth, sentiments such as: "for Mrs. O from Mr. O", "Mrs. Orson Welles", "for Maggie" [Welles' diminutive for "Margarita", Hayworth's birth name], "Dearest Baby Merry Christmas", "Merry Christmas from your husband", and other similar annotations. Evidently gift tags, all were saved by Hayworth in a manila envelope typed "Christmas notes to keep", along with a number of the original envelopes addressed to "Mrs. O.W." Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
