On My Honor (Unfinished Film, ca. 1959), Collection of Scripts and Files from Unmade DeMille Film Based on Lord Baden Powell and the Boy Scouts. Vintage collection of scripts and files detailing the long production history of On My Honor, a motion picture based on the exploits of Lord Baden Powell the founder of the Boy Scout movement. The collection includes (3) bound copies of the full treatment written by Jesse L. Lasky Jr. and Henry Wilcoxon dated 10 July, 1959 and containing 308 type-written pages, (1) leather bound treatment by Jesse L. Lasky Jr. dated 10 July, 1959 and containing 275 type-written pages (1) bound copy first draft written by Sydney Box dated 28 March, 1961 and containing 246 pages, (2) bound copies of all (57) John Jensen printed design sketches detailing scenes from the script, (2) bound copies of the "slightly shortened version" titled Mafeking containing 181 pages plus notes, (1) "drastically cut alternative version" containing 53 pages, (1) outline of the proposed television series dated 1961, and (6) files containing legal documents and production correspondence from 1959 to 2000. On my Honor was a passion project by DeMille, but after his death in 1959, the film was put on hold, though attempts to resuscitate the project by Henry Wilcoxon kept it alive into the mid 60's. Wilcoxon even hired screenwriter Sydney Box (The Seventh Veil) to complete the script, but the project never came to fruition. Production correspondence reveals that the title registration was kept up to date until May 16, 2000 - when an extension was requested by Warner Brothers was denied.
