Description
Mark Hellinger's Personal Scripts: Brother Orchid, Manpower, Between Two Worlds, Affectionately Yours, The Two Mrs. Carrolls (Annotated). A set of five hardbound scripts from Mark Hellinger's personal library, including Brother Orchid, Manpower, Between Two Worlds, Affectionately Yours, and The Two Mrs. Carrolls. Hellinger's masterpiece of the bunch, undoubtedly, was the 1940 gangster comedy Brother Orchid (with Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson); Hellinger's bound script includes original inter-office correspondence to and from Hal Wallis (with handwritten comments) ranging from casting to costuming to WWII. Also included is his annotated script for the Humphrey Bogart/Barbara Stanwyck mystery and an original behind he scenes photo of Stanwyck, Bogart and Hellinger behind the scenes. His hardbound scripts for Manpower, Between Two Worlds, and Affectionately Yours round off the lot. In overall Fine condition with very minor signs of wear to a few of the covers. From the Mark Hellinger Archive.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection. Condition statements are offered as general guidance only, not as complete representations of fact, and do not constitute a warranty or assumption of liability by Heritage. Some condition issues may not be noted but may be visible in the photos, which are considered part of the condition report.
