Marilyn Monroe Very Rare 'Salesman Sample' Calendar (1956). From the personal files of Bob Baruck, a salesman who sold the now infamous nude calendars in the San Fernando Valley for a short amount of time in the mid-1950s; this one for the year 1956, featuring four color pin-up images of MM attached by spiral binding at the top, first image is 'Golden Dreams' but "With Lace Overprint " (and re-titled "Entrancing"); other three images show MM in three different poses (from the same photo session) as she wears red shorts, a red cowboy hat, and white cowboy boots (but no top!); included with its fun original die-cut envelope (simulating a hole to 'peep in' on MM) reading in part "Marilyn / Monroe / The Most / Talked of / Calendar / In the World" along with other 'of the era' text related to MM printed on the back; consigned to this auction directly by Baruck's daughter. (Please note the calendar and envelope are slightly yellowed due to age.)
