Marilyn Monroe Signed William Morris Agency Contract (ca. 1949). Vintage original 2-page management contract (single leaf, front and back) on William Morris Agency letterhead, dated "March 2, 1949" for a six year agreement. Signed in blue ink, "Marilyn Monroe" on verso. This important contract was executed a mere 3 years after Norma Jean Doherty changed her name to the iconic "Marilyn Monroe." At this time she was still taking modelling assignments and very small movie roles. It was through the William Morris Agency, she landed small roles in All About Eve (1950), and John Huston's The Asphalt Jungle (1950). In December 1950, they negotiated her 7-year contract with 20th Century Fox, from leading to supporting, then starring roles. The contract exhibits two hole punches at the top margin, light toning and handling. Comes with a full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
