Description

Live and Let Die (United Artists, 1973), Bound Script and Synopsis. Original 120-page shooting script by Tom Mankiewicz dated October 2nd, 1972 with the embossed title 'Ian Fleming's "Live and Let Die"' embellishing the front cover, and a 4-page Live and Let Die synopsis. The title page of the script is marked "47." on the top right corner. Included within the script is a formal with compliments note from Jane Oscroft, who served as the Production Secretary at Eon Productions for their eighth film in the James Bond franchise. Provenance: originally owned by Maurice Patchett, the London Transport supervisor who trained Roger Moore for three months to prepare and stage the double decker bus sequence - an audacious stunt which involved the bus' roof being destroyed as Bond and Solitaire drove under a bridge to evade local police; by descent to the current owner.
